Photo of the day

I drive the Huron River on foggy days looking for a bits of inspiration. I am never let down in my adventures. Each trip along her uneven banks I discover something new. I had seen this building a few times peeking out of the fog on other days travels. I have even stopped to take photos. They never made the cut for photo of the day. Today this building drew me in and I will be following up with a few of the images from this days journey. This is an energy plant along the river. One may travel as close as one wants. I have found. It is near Barton park and well worth the walk over the bridges. I wondered between Bandmere and Barton park. There is an amazing array of plants, birds and wild life in this area.
A few of the walkers I encountered on this particular day told me they never tell anyone about the park because they want to keep it to their selves. Selfish, Yes! But once you go you will understand!

My husband John and I play this game. "Is that something" The game is taken from the David Letterman show. Where people come on Dave's show and Show Dave something and Dave and his Band leader Paul Shaffer decide if it is indeed something.
One night I was on my way home from the barn and passed this field. I had to stop and turn around and take a re-look at what I was seeing.
Every one has seen stick deer but what lay before my eyes were 5 large (10 to 15 feet tall) stick deer. These deer are made out of a rotted out tree trunk and thick branches for the legs. I said to my self now that is something. They really are that tall! I smiled the rest of the night.
Several evenings later John and I were coming home from dinner and were going to be crossing the road that these deer reside. I asked him if he wanted to see "Something" He was up for it. So John hung a left and drove to down to where the deer were peacefully dancing in the field. Lights had been installed and illuminated them in such a wonderful way!
I asked John what he thought of them he said now that is " something."
